How it works

This app sends a heartbeat to Uptime Kuma every 30 seconds while WhatsApp is connected. If WhatsApp drops or the app crashes, heartbeats stop and Uptime Kuma will alert you.

The /health endpoint also returns HTTP 200 when connected and 503 when not, for use with an HTTP monitor as an alternative.

Setup steps in Uptime Kuma:

  1. Go to uptime-kuma.zzit.ch and click Add New Monitor
  2. Select monitor type: Push
  3. Set a name, e.g. WhatsApp Hockey
  4. Set heartbeat interval to 60s, retry to 3
  5. Save — Uptime Kuma shows a push URL like
    https://uptime-kuma.zzit.ch/api/push/AbCdEf1234
  6. Copy the token (AbCdEf1234 part) and paste it below
